EERIV Europe Educational Awareness Visit at St. Ann High School Limbe

EERIV Europe visits St Ann College Limbe

Creating access to information remains one of the most important ways of empowering students in today’s educational environment. Beyond academics, students need exposure to opportunities, evolving educational systems, and conversations that help them better understand the possibilities available to them in an increasingly connected world.

On the 20th of August 2024, we visited St. Ann High School Limbe as part of our ongoing educational awareness and student engagement activities aimed at connecting young learners with international education opportunities and global academic perspectives.

The visit provided an opportunity for us to interact directly with students, share insights about studying internationally, and discuss the importance of preparation, exposure, and informed decision-making in shaping future opportunities.

Creating Educational Awareness Among Students

One of the major goals of our visit was to expose students to educational opportunities and possibilities they may not normally encounter within their immediate environment.

Many students hear about studying abroad or international opportunities through social media or informal discussions, but often lack accurate understanding of what these opportunities truly involve.

During our engagement at St. Ann High School Limbe, we introduced students to topics such as:

  • European education opportunities
  • Student mobility and global exposure
  • Educational systems in Europe
  • Scholarship awareness
  • Academic preparation and planning
  • Personal growth and development
  • Skills needed in a global environment

Our discussions focused on helping students understand that opportunities exist beyond geographical boundaries when they are equipped with the right information and mindset.

Encouraging Students to Build a Global Mindset

In today’s world, students are no longer preparing only for local opportunities. The educational and professional landscape has become increasingly global, requiring students to think more broadly about their future.

Throughout the session, we encouraged students to develop a mindset centered around:

  • Continuous learning
  • Adaptability and growth
  • Confidence and ambition
  • Leadership and communication
  • Openness to international opportunities

We emphasized the importance of preparing early, building relevant skills, and remaining informed about educational developments around the world.

Sharing Opportunities Across Europe

During our interaction with the students, we also shared insights about various European destinations where we currently support students through educational guidance and admissions support services.

These destinations include:

  • Belgium
  • Germany
  • France
  • Lithuania
  • Netherlands
  • Malta
  • Poland
  • Croatia
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

We discussed some of the advantages of studying in Europe, including multicultural learning environments, internationally recognized qualifications, exposure to innovation, and expanded career opportunities. (eeriveurope.com)

Interactive Engagement with Students

One of the most rewarding aspects of the visit was the enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the students.

Students actively participated throughout the session, asking questions about:

  • International universities
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Student life abroad
  • Language requirements
  • Admission procedures
  • Academic preparation for studying abroad

These interactions highlighted the growing interest among students in gaining global exposure and exploring educational opportunities outside their immediate surroundings.

Strengthening Our Presence in Schools and Communities

Our visit to St. Ann High School Limbe forms part of our broader commitment to educational outreach and student engagement across schools and communities.

Over the years, we have continued organizing and participating in initiatives focused on:
